Question 1

What is the Digital Garage and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

The Digital Garage is an interactive build-sheet platform where members catalog vehicle specifications, aftermarket modifications, photo galleries, and track build history.

The Digital Garage is your car's official digital identity card within the Honda Grace community:

* Build Specifications: Document your model year, trim, paint code, chassis number, and transmission.
* Categorized Mod Sheet: Detail modifications by Engine, Suspension, Wheels & Tires, Exterior Aero, Interior, and Audio/Electronics.
* Photo Showcase: Upload high-resolution cover photos, engine bay shots, and interior cockpit images.
* Public or Unlisted Visibility: You choose whether your build appears on the public /builds directory or stays private to your direct link.
* Spotted Community Archive: Allow fellow attendees to upload candid photos taken of your car during meets!

Question 2

How do I generate and print my Club Meet QR Code Tag?

Accepted Answer

Open your car profile in /garage and tap the 'QR Code' button. You can instantly download a crisp SVG or high-resolution PNG ready for printing.

Every vehicle entered in the Digital Garage receives a unique 7-character short identifier and a precision-generated QR code decal:

1. Log into your account and open /garage.
2. Click on the car you want to tag (or tap Add Car if you haven't registered one yet).
3. Tap the QR Code action button on the build header.
4. Choose Download SVG (for large format or vinyl printing) or Download PNG (for standard phone screen displays or laminated cards).

How to Display It at Meets:
* Dashboard Display Stand: Print on 4x6 photo paper and place in an acrylic desktop photo stand on your dashboard.
* Laminated Sunvisor Card: Clip it to your sun visor facing forward when parked.
* Quarter Window Decal: Some members print high-contrast transparent vinyl stickers applied to the rear triangular quarter glass.
* Smartphone Lock Screen: Save the image to your phone lock screen so other enthusiasts can scan it directly while talking cars with you!

Question 3

How does the /c/[code] shortlink work?

Accepted Answer

The /c/[code] shortlink is an ultra-fast, mobile-optimized redirect URL that connects any smartphone scanning your QR tag directly to your full public build profile.

When someone is walking through a car meet parking lot and points their phone camera at your QR tag:

1. The camera immediately detects the URL: `hondagraceph.com/c/XXXXXXX`.
2. Our ultra-light server edge router looks up the 7-character code in under 15 milliseconds.
3. The visitor is seamlessly redirected to your complete build page (`/builds/[slug]`).
4. They can instantly see your complete parts list (coilovers, wheel offset, tire sizes, JDM aero part numbers), your Instagram handle, and hit the Respect (❤️) button!

Question 4

What is the Respect (❤️) system and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Respect is our community's built-in appreciation counter. Logged-in members can hit Respect on any public build to honor the dedication and craftsmanship invested.

The Respect counter serves as our community leaderboard:

* Any logged-in member can click the Respect (❤️) button on any public build.
* Each member has one respect vote per car, preventing artificial spam.
* Builds with high respect counts are highlighted on the home page hero carousel and showcased at the top of the /builds directory.
* It provides recognition to builders who have documented thorough maintenance, clean wiring, and authentic Japanese styling.

Question 5

How do 'Spotted' photos work in the garage?

Accepted Answer

Members who take photos of your car at meets or out on the open road can upload them directly to your build's Spotted section for your approval.

Car meets produce thousands of candid rolling and parking shots that often get lost in social media message threads. The Spotted feature solves this:

1. When viewing any member's car profile, other logged-in members can click Upload Spotted Photo.
2. They select their photograph, optionally credit their photography handle, and submit.
3. The car owner receives a notification on their dashboard.
4. The owner can review and accept the photo, which permanently embeds the image into their car's public gallery timeline!

Question 6

Can I register multiple cars or keep records of past builds?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can add as many vehicles as you own and designate one as your 'Primary Car' for forum signatures and header shortcuts.

Many members own more than one Honda or wish to preserve their project car history:

* You can register multiple cars (e.g., your daily Honda City GM6 and a track-prepped build or second family vehicle).
* In your garage, mark one vehicle as your Primary Car. The nickname and thumbnail of this primary vehicle will appear in your top navigation header and next to your forum posts.
* If you sell a vehicle, you can archive it or switch its visibility to keep your personal mod and maintenance history intact.
